A student's enrollment
in programs approved for credit by Patten is considered enrollment at Patten
for the purpose of receiving federal financial aid. Most students will receive
their normal financial aid package, including grants, scholarships and loans,
for the period they will be away from campus. Students are not able to earn work-study
funds while they are enrolled in off-campus programs.
Special Services for

Patten
University offers accessible buildings, including a fully accessible residence

Campus Safety
Information, Drug Free Schools and Communities
Patten University provides to all students, faculty and staff an annual
security report that includes information on crimes reported that have occurred
on or near campus. The report also outlines institutional policies concerning
campus safety, crime prevention, crime reporting, alcohol and other drugs, and

Athletic Program
Information
Patten
University also complies with the requirements of the Equity in Athletics
Disclosure Act (EADA) by completing an annual report of participation rates,
financial support and other information on men's and women's intercollegiate
athletic programs. The report is available on the U.S.
Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education website by entering

Family Educational
Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Patten complies with the requirements of the Family Educational Rights and
Privacy Act (FERPA) and routinely provides information on the law to parents
and students. For specific questions, contact the Office of the Registrar
at 510-261-8500 x7720.
Students may request withholding of directory information by completing a FERPA Form, which is available from the Office of the Registrar. Students must submit a withholding request every year that they attend Patten.
